Discover, Innovate, Share & Create (D.I.S.C.) the Art Established in 2015 in Fakirpur, Odisha, India. D.I.S.C. the Art is a charitable trust dedicated to preserving and promoting India's rich cultural heritage. As a non-profit entity, we provide a collaborative space for artists, researchers, writers, historians, performers, and cultural enthusiasts. Creative collaboration happened through art and research programs, workshops, seminars, events, and exhibitions which encourage creative synergy. Our vision is to promote and create a road map of ancient art forms to contemporary prominence. Guided by four core principles—Discovery through journey, Innovation through collaboration, Sharing of experiences and skills, and Creating a global connection—we attempt to make a transformative impact on the cultural landscape in India.

D.I.S.C The Art organization's vision is the integration of economic development alongside cultural preservation. We recognize that art and culture are not isolated from economic realities; they can become driving forces for sustainable growth for indigenous people.

Our primary objective is to provide a platform for artists, researchers, writers, historians, performers, and cultural professionals to collaboratively engage in artistic expressions. This collaboration extends beyond artistic creation to incorporate research programs, workshops, seminars, events, and exhibitions. By interweaving creativity with scholarly journey, we create an environment that inspires holistic growth and artistic exploration while contributing to the local economy.

Central to our vision is the promotion of indigenous and ancient artistic traditions to the forefront of contemporary discourse. We are deeply committed to build a new life into these cultural gems, bringing them into mainstream and bridging the gap between the past and the present.

The Artful Journey of D.I.S.C The Art's Logo



In 2014 when we started thinking about making a logo for D.I.S.C The Art Organization one of our colleagues Ausra Kleizaite (Visual Artist) from Lithuania, she has created the logo. The logo symbolically represent about the Knowledge, peace and togetherness of nature and beauty. In 2015 we use this logo as official logo that has continued till 2021 and then we start a new logo that is we are now.

D.I.S.C The Art logo, symbolizing the artistic and cultural heritage, skilfully blends few significant elements which is celebrating local traditions and creativity, the logo showcases a a needle, threads, an oval shape, and earth colors—each carrying profound symbolism. Let's explore the design that captures the essence of our vision. The logo design brilliantly summarises the essence of our organization's vision and ethical values. The amalgamation of diverse cultural elements showcases comprehensive and celebrates the artistic heritage.

The needle, a vital tool in textile arts, symbolizes more than practicality—it represents the creative power and precision of the artist's hand, transforming raw materials into intricate works of art. This metaphor highlights the artist's skill, and ability to create life into their creations.

Thread, is primary element in textiles that weaves our emotion, culture identity which is symbolising the power of togetherness. The thread symbolically represents interconnection between society and Nature that connect together and the strength begin from collaboration.

Earth color pitch brown, drawn from natural pigments, which has a connection to the land that we buried. The earth colour is extensively used in indigenous art and culture which is representing ancestral wisdom and harmony of human life.

The oval shape, with its association with wholeness and unity, reflects the interconnected with life and the cyclical existence of nature. It brings a sense of harmony and balance to the logo, inviting viewers to appreciate the natural order and beauty within the world.

The Artist behind the Vision is Bijay Nath, he crafted the logo into life. He was inspiration from above mentioned elements during his travel, Nath designed the logo that narrate the story of creativity and nurturing a sense of collective responsibility towards the environment. The conceptual and aesthetic input from Baishali Ghosh aims to enhance the logo's overall impact and attractiveness while ensuring its message remains interconnected and visually satisfying our eyes

Visually, the logo is charming and aesthetically well-balanced with intricate details in the Human form representation add depth and character, drawing the viewer's attention. The choice of earth colors complements the theme of sustainability and blends harmoniously with the overall design. To enhance visual unity, I would suggest exploring the use of natural textures to bring a tactile quality to the elements. Additionally, incorporating subtle gradients or shading can add dimensionality and depth. For a modern touch, consider refining the edges and adding a minimalist touch to the oval shape. This way, the logo will strike the perfect balance between tradition and contemporary.

D.I.S.C The Art logo weaves together nature's splendour and diverse cultural influences, representing our mission with elegance. It represents commitment to unity, sustainability, and the celebration of art and culture journey towards a brighter future.
